Sometimes Windows 7 runs slow and seems to stuck with or without running applications, usually this occurs due to the Windows visual effects that could be heavy on graphics card and/or allocated huge space in system memory.
This is not caused by bugs or something wrong by Windows, but it simply needs an enough capacity of graphics card and RAM.
To solve this issue, simply follow the below steps:
Go to -> Windows Start, type 'Performance' and then select 'Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows' from the results shown to you. A windows called 'Performance Options' will open.
Under 'Visual Effects' tab you have 2 options to solve this issue:
1- Select 'Adjust for best performance', this will automatically unchecked all of the visual effects but it will make your Windows bare of all visual effects.
OR
2- Select 'Custom' and check both 'Smooth edges of screen fonts' and 'Use visual styles on windows and buttons'. This will enhance the Windows performance with retaining the good looking interface.
