How to open hyperlinks on your default browser

Usually, outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.. hyperlinks opened on your default browser but sometimes the change of the default settings from one browser to another causes hyperlinks to not open and windows pop up a message telling you that as per our policies we can not open link, please contact your IT desk.

The solution is pretty easy, follow the below steps:

1- Click windows start and type 'Default Programs' and click on it.




2- Click on 'Set your default programs'.


















3- On the left pane pick your browser that you want to set it as default, for example we pick on Internet Explorer.



































4- Last step, click on 'Set this program as default'




























Now try to open hyperlinks from outlook emails or from Excel or any program, it will open the link by default on Internet Explorer.

Of course you can change it to google chrome or whatever browser you want by following the steps above.
